Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Crowncade ("the Service"), operated by CrownForge LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and CrownForge LLC. CrownForge LLC operates Crowncade (crowncade.com), Questwright (questwright.app), and other products and services. These Terms apply specifically to your use of Crowncade. Your use of other CrownForge products may be governed by their own terms.

We may modify these Terms at any time by posting updated terms on this page. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Effective Date" above. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Crowncade. If you are between 13 and 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet the applicable age requirements and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If we discover that you are under 13, your account will be terminated immediately and your data deleted.

3. CrownForge Account

To access certain features of the Service, you must create a CrownForge account. Your CrownForge account provides single sign-on (SSO) access to all CrownForge products and services. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account across all CrownForge services

You may not share your account with others or allow others to access the Service using your credentials. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. User Conduct

When using Crowncade, you agree not to:

• Use cheats, exploits, automation software, bots, hacks, or any unauthorized third-party software to manipulate scores, achievements, leaderboards, or gameplay
• Harass, abuse, threaten, or intimidate other users
• Engage in bigotry, racism, sexism, or other hateful conduct toward other users
• Upload, transmit, or distribute content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or computer systems or networks connected to the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service
• Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service
• Circumvent any security measures, access restrictions, or content rating systems
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

5. Games and Content

Crowncade hosts browser-based games for entertainment purposes. Games on the platform are provided by CrownForge LLC, third-party developers, and community contributors. You acknowledge that:

• Game availability may change without notice
• High scores, achievements, XP, and progress data may be reset or modified at our discretion
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free gameplay
• Games may contain content of varying maturity levels; content ratings are provided as guidance but are not guaranteed to be accurate
• Third-party games may behave differently from games developed by CrownForge LLC

5.1 Content Ratings

Crowncade may apply content ratings to games to help users make informed choices. These ratings are assigned by our team or self-reported by game developers and are provided as a convenience. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any content rating. Parents and guardians are responsible for monitoring the content their children access.

6. Game Uploads and Developer Terms

Crowncade allows approved developers and community contributors to submit browser-based games for hosting on the platform ("Uploaded Games"). If you submit a game to Crowncade, the following terms apply in addition to all other provisions of these Terms:

6.1 License Grant

By uploading a game to Crowncade, you grant CrownForge LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, display, distribute, cache, embed, transcode, adapt, and make available your game through the Service. This license includes the right to create thumbnails, screenshots, and promotional materials featuring your game, and to modify your game as reasonably necessary for compatibility, security, or platform integration.

This license continues for as long as your game is hosted on the platform. If you request removal of your game, we will remove it within a reasonable timeframe, and the license will terminate except as needed for cached copies to expire and for any promotional materials already in circulation.

6.2 Developer Representations

By uploading a game, you represent and warrant that:

• You own or have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to submit the game
• The game does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party
• The game does not contain malware, spyware, cryptocurrency miners, or any code designed to harm users or their devices
• The game does not collect user data beyond what is disclosed and approved by Crowncade
• The game does not contain illegal content or content that violates these Terms
• The game does not link to or redirect users to external sites without disclosure
• You have accurately represented the content rating and maturity level of the game

6.3 Our Rights Over Uploaded Games

We reserve the right to, at our sole discretion and without prior notice:

• Review, test, scan, or sandbox any uploaded game before or after publication
• Reject, remove, or disable any game for any reason, including but not limited to policy violations, security concerns, quality standards, or legal issues
• Modify, wrap, or repackage games as necessary for platform compatibility, security, or integration (e.g., adding an iframe wrapper, sandboxing JavaScript, or injecting platform APIs)
• Feature, promote, or de-emphasize games in browse listings and recommendations
• Display analytics about your game (play counts, ratings) publicly on the platform

6.4 Revenue and Monetization

Crowncade is currently a free platform with no monetization. If we introduce monetization in the future (including but not limited to advertisements, premium features, tipping, or revenue sharing), we will update these Terms and notify affected developers before any changes take effect. No revenue sharing, compensation, or payment is implied or guaranteed by hosting your game on Crowncade.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on Crowncade created by CrownForge LLC, including but not limited to the platform interface, graphics, logos, branding, and software, is the property of CrownForge LLC and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our prior written permission.

Games uploaded by third-party developers remain the intellectual property of their respective creators, subject to the license granted in Section 6.1.

8. User-Generated Content

If you submit content to Crowncade beyond game uploads — including usernames, display names, profile information, comments, ratings, reviews, forum posts, or other user-generated content ("User Content") — you grant CrownForge LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute such content in connection with operating and improving the Service.

You represent that you have the right to grant this license and that your User Content does not violate the rights of any third party or any applicable laws. We may remove any User Content that violates these Terms.

9. Third-Party Services

Crowncade may integrate with third-party services (including Google, Discord, and Twitch) for authentication and social features. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

Third-party games hosted on Crowncade may execute code in your browser. While we take measures to sandbox and review uploaded games, we are not responsible for the behavior of third-party game code. If you experience issues with a specific game, please report it to us immediately.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our express written consent
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to manipulate scores, farm achievements, or abuse the Service
• Exploit bugs or glitches for unfair advantage on leaderboards; report them instead
• Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service without permission
• Use the Service to distribute spam, malware, or phishing content
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or private data

11. Account Management

You can manage your CrownForge account, view your personal data, export your data, and permanently delete your account at any time through the CrownForge Account Portal. Because your CrownForge account is shared across all CrownForge products, account deletion affects all services, including Crowncade, Questwright, and any other CrownForge products.

12. Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your CrownForge account at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. Because your CrownForge account provides access to all CrownForge services, suspension or termination applies across all products.

Specific violations that will result in immediate termination and permanent ban include:

• Harassment or hateful conduct toward other users
• Uploading games containing malware, spyware, or harmful code
• Uploading games that infringe third-party intellectual property (repeat infringement)
• Score manipulation, cheating, or leaderboard abuse
• Attempting to hack, exploit, or compromise the Service
• Commercial use without authorization
• Violating any applicable laws

Upon termination, your right to use all CrownForge Services ceases immediately. We may delete your account data, including uploaded games, at our discretion.

13. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

13.1 Assumption of Risk

You acknowledge and agree that:

• You use the Service at your own risk
• Third-party games may contain bugs, security vulnerabilities, or objectionable content
• Leaderboard data, achievements, and progress may be lost or reset
• The Service may be discontinued at any time
• We are not responsible for the behavior or content of third-party games
• We are not responsible for any decisions you make based on content from the Service

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CrownForge LLC, its operators, affiliates, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with:

• Your use of the Service
• Games you upload to the platform
• Your User Content
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights
• Any claim that a game you uploaded caused harm to a third party

15. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall take place in Pennsylvania, United States, and shall be conducted in English.

You agree to waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against CrownForge LLC.

Notwithstanding the above, we may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to prevent the actual or threatened infringement of our intellectual property rights.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and DMCA Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and CrownForge LLC regarding your use of Crowncade and supersede any prior agreements. These Terms do not alter, amend, or supersede any separate written agreement you may have entered into with CrownForge LLC. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and a separate written agreement, the separate agreement shall control.
